Featured Royal Epiag 1945-1957 trinket box or something else?

    I thought this was very cool and interesting. It is 4 1/4" diameter. The color and application especially. would this be sponge? or drip glaze. I can't find anything like it. it is actually more purple than the photos.

    If not sponged I think marbleized would be a good word. I love the color!

    All I'm finding is a lot of dishware with floral patterns. Nothing even close.

    I just looked for a while, too, and didn't find anything. I did find a source for the date range you gave, but assume you also found it! The one I found was 1945-1958, though.

    Debbie Downer here (apologies to actual Debbies) is wondering if the purple has been applied over the gold? The purple just seems too messy to be factory.

    The factory stamp is over the purple though. It's not painted over its under the glaze.
