That brand at the top could also be DK. The 14-109 may be a design number as well as a size. Before listing I'd measure the outside of the boot on a ruler and go from there. The pointy toe may make them measure bigger than they really are.

David Espinoza should be able to decipher code, if he has the time (and is willing) to do so.

I agree that the numbers could be in house code that have nothing to do with the size which is why they should be tried on by a few friends to get sizing. Measurements are useless as there is no measurement for the lasting or volume let alone the dead space of the point.

Could be the custom order number. No need to display the size.

Absolutely true but I do own a pair of custom boots and they are ink written in script 6.5 As soon as a few people try them on the size won’t be a mystery. Also, as you suggested the company may give out the info.

Well then, @reader... If I'm ever your Secret Santa, you're receiving slippers because now I know your size!

Just a stream of consciousness that probably means nothing, but this is what the colors the person who commissioned the boots chose bring to my mind. The combination of Arizona state flag and the Mexican bandera.

I was just watching American Pickers and now I'm thinking these might have been performance gear. Old school Country-Western performers used to wear some seriously fancy duds on stage and these boots would have fit right in. Custom wouldn't have been out of the question, even if they were made for a local performer. That doesn't help narrow things down any, but it would explain why they were made in the first place.

Custom boot makers keep books of patterns that can be available in multiple colorways. For all we know that boot has been made in numerous combinations with various initials. There is no reason to think that they are truly one of a kind other than the unique personalized initials. Personalized over the top cowboy boots have existed forever in the 20th century. Country performers, TV singing cowboys, rodeo stars etc. have all worn them as have wealthy urban cowboys. I own some. If you want to check out one of my favorite companies you can look at Back At The Ranch in Santa Fe.

Those things never had arch supports so I couldn't wear them even if they were my size.

I put gel insoles in all of mine and they make an amazing difference. I also wear thick socks with them.
