This is a Waterford Crystal Glass I recently purchased. It measures about 4" in height and the top rim is about 3 1/4" in width and it's signed Waterford on the bottom.

I've searched for a similar style of this glass but can't seem to locate another example of it. Does anyone know what style, pattern, use/purpose and age or period the glass is or anything else about it? Thanks in advance for all replies.

WATERFORD wasn't marked until 1950 according to the internet.

I don't think I've ever seen Waterford with an 'etched' pattern around it, but then I also haven't researched a lot of Waterford either!!

I believe you'll find that the "Etched" design is cut and unpolished rather than etched.

Another bit about Waterford glass. There are/were two periods of "Waterford" glass. One, probably started in the 1700's and ended before WWII. The second was started by an ex patriot Czech who 'borrowed' a cutting machine from a shop in his native land, had it duplicated post-war times and opened a new "Waterford" glass business. The above glass, and its marking is Post WWII. .
