IMG_8379.jpg IMG_8376.jpg IMG_8378.jpg bourguerreau.jpg I acquired this small antique framed work of art and since it didn't have a visible signature, I used yandex reverse image to find who is the artist: Francois-Alfred Delobbe (French 1835-1920). It feels like a plaque on panel after the original by Francois Alfred Delobbe. Few strokes were added to the repro that can be felt with the tip of the finger touch. From the back it looks very old. The size is 10.5" W by 8" H. The artist was prolific but all his works are on canvas and much larger sizes.
I believe this repro is from a a painting titled "The butterflies" and exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1892.
I found that some KPM plaques were produced in this size. They were framed and glazed. Mine doesn't have any markings. Mine doesn't feel like porcelain
Anybody knows about these "vintage" reproductions and what would be the value.
    Greatly appreciate any help

I think I see one clear difference between yours & the original. Don't compare color, this has been manipulated for contrast. Look at the tree limbs that hang out over the fence:

Am I seeing things or are they different? A print can't have variations like that.

@Bronwen, I just saved the blurry image you were referring to and see that it IS A PNG image....VERY LOW resolution AND to make matters worse it was brought in closer up.....I think that's what you're seeing as a difference.....the same image posted above is a better resolution JPG!!! Hope that helps...........!

Hard to tell anything from these photos. It could be a painted copy. The white blouse certainly looks painted. Some really tight close-ups of small details might help.

Yes,agreed. That branch clearly looks longer (surely that can’t be due to the resolution) So then a proper painted copy? Must have some value.
