IS THISA CAROLINE BURNETT OIL

Attractive painting. I have more than one supposed Burnett’ painting. Unfortunately she is very widely copied and reproduced (almost like paint by numbers I was told)She also only signed in certain a colour. Some reproductions are very well done and there’s a-lot debate in some cases. I have been told that some reproductions/copies have a more shiny or glossy finish than the originals. Some of our local auction houses don’t valuate or accept Burnett paintings anymore because of all these issues.

 

Yes, it was a few years ago, Havent reactivated it, Picture hanging in my hall ,am still enjoying it, and still know no more about it,

Nancy, it's because somebody commented on your old thread. Any time somebody does that, a thread will rise back up to the top and people can keep replying to it. My previous question about whether it was on your old account was something I asked back in 2017!

People can keep replying, and maybe they will say something of value to you, or others who are interested in the artist.
