Hello! I am thinking of purchasing this table off Facebook marketplace to restore and was wondering how old it may be? The dimensions are 45 in tall x 28 in deep x 30 in tall so I’m thinking it’s a desk? Thank you for your help in advance!

Are those the only photographs they're providing you? Are the sellers able to tell you anything about it at all? How much -- if you don't mind my asking -- is it?

Hello Debora! I will post the other two that were provided here. I do plan on asking for more pictures once they reply. It is listed right now at $90. 419BCDB6-6968-40E3-B3A5-B7343FAF9262.jpeg 15539A47-1E6E-49FD-BF05-2EC2F1405F7C.jpeg

You list two 'tall' measurements - 45" and 30" - guessing you mean 45" wide?

Without any drawers and on casters I would say it is a table and not a desk.

Is that one of the side stretchers that has broken off below?

Guessing Johnny's right about the date....ca. 1900. Nicely articulated toenails!

I think this is a good candidate for a refinish. Could look spectacular with the stretcher repaired and with a new "'do."

Tom Johnson (Thomas Johnson Antique Furniture Restoration) has recently uploaded a video of work done to a table with lots in common with this one. Take a look.

Agree, circa 1900. If planning to refinish, make sure it has a solid top or, if veneer, intact and without stains.
