I was wondering if anyone might know the maker if this amethyst perfume bottle? Its coming up for sale in a local auction. Thank you for any info.

What does the end of the stopper look like?

It was long and clear but a rounded tip.

So there is no evidence that it ever had a thin dauber at the end?

Depending on how the dauber was attached to the stopper would determine the age. The bottles that were made back in the 1930s/40s were attached by applying a small dab of molten glass to the end of the polished stopper end & then attaching the dauber. Some of the old bottles are being made again in the Czech Republic today but the daubers are not be applied in the same way according to what I learned at this year's IPBA convention.

I am leaning more towards this one being one of the newer bottles. It is a very attractive bottle & I really like the cube design but the bottom just doesn't look like the older bottles.
