Just wanted to post a few useless but cute images of my vintage dolls in silly situations:

I do not suspect this doll is MA at all. But let me see how tall the girl in the green dress is. I would say at least 19” or so. But let me measure and get back to you!

Thanks for your comment... yes, it is pretty sad .
Mostly she has the "1940's" "Storybook dolls that she had as a child, a couple of older dolls that are "baby dolls" that were her's or her sisters , and a lot of newer dolls , newer being 1970's. Then there are "The Invader" twins with their crooked fingers....lol

Being American and growing up in the 60's and 70's this made me laugh as I automatically visualized my cousin's Barbies with one of my my Lesney Matchbox trucks hanging from her head ....

Having my Grandmother coming from Lincoln and my Grandfather from parts unknown in England help's with knowledge of "Proper English"....lol

Well, I hope somebody knows. You didn't mention MA on that one, so I didn't think you thought it was. :)

I am quite good-ish on the dolls themselves...I mean I have a VERY basic knowledge, the clothes just bamboozle poor simple ole ol' me. I'll give dollies a good go but don't want to pretend I am any good at outfits...I'm not xxx

Knowing the dolls.........original/re-introduced, is most important, I should think. So we shall still come to Bou for help regarding Barbies!.....:cat::cat::cat:

Anyone have advice on rerooting doll hair? I'm kinda mostly asking BoudiccaJones though, because she mentioned doing it earlier.

What tools would I need? And where to buy them?

I use a long needle, jewellery pliers and hair...literally all I use. I am too tight to pay for saran so I mostly use those big styling heads like this

This is just my style; I'm quite tight on the pocketbook myself—to put it mildly.

    ...

If anyone ever wondered how Masterpiece Dolls were packaged, here are some pictures of my 39" Millie doll from the supply center:

And finally, a picture of a Millie doll from a YouTube video, showing what she looks like in person:

Almost all Masterpiece dolls have been sold, and so there are copycat companies making them, but those copycats don't have a certificate or signature and doll number written on the dolls back. Nor do they come with the same clothing—which wouldn't be that easy to duplicate without excess expense.

This all comes in handy if someone wants to sell, which I'll never do anyways.

A friend just sold me a Masterpiece doll by sculptor Monika Peter-Leicht. She's 46" in height—the biggest the sculptor ever made. Her and her box weigh 30lbs. She's an early doll from 2010. I'm getting her for $95 USD. + shipping. Basically, free.

    Here is my angel, Faith:
    Faith1.jpg

    Faith2.jpeg

She's a ball-jointed-doll with 11 joints. Her hair is a wig, which can be replaced.
    Faith5.jpg

She is brand new—never been opened—in the box with her stand and certificate:

    Hers is the bigger box:

    Monika Peter-Leicht herself, presenting Faith:

I understand that this is an antique forum, but there were only 350 Faiths ever made, and Masterpiece no longer makes dolls, so people are paying several times the new price for them. This doll is already a piece of history.

It was a luck and a great friend that allowed me to score her.

    Just wanted to share.

Thanks guys. The lady who is sending me the doll has several large Masterpiece dolls:

She just sent mine out this Tuesday, so I should be getting my doll in a few days. I'm so excited!

She runs a new Discord doll server. I'd like to post the link, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed.

My Masterpiece doll arrived yesterday. She's a 46" doll. I bought a bunch of clothing for her from the thrift store as they had a $5 bag sale:
