Some church sale, thrifts, and estate sales finds, no biggies.
I loved this frog print by local artist Marilyn Rosenzweig Chackman. The owner of the items at the estate sale loved animals and had many beautiful prints and paintings.
Plate of pearls, $2 and $3, one strand mixed with smokey quartz, another with turquoise, another with onyx...sterling and 14k clasps.

Plate with vintage Takahashi cat tape dispenser and Whiting and Davis mesh bracelet.
    20210703_092745.jpg
Plates of costume and sterling. Thrifts missed sterling this week. The Little CZ princess cuts are 14k.

Poodle is Anne Klein. Sterling earrings are catseye moonstones.

I should keep an eye out for those tumblers -- great for kids. I think they used to come with plastic tops as well. Mom and Dad had a pile of old tupperware that I put in the garage sale (this was 7-8 years ago) but didn't seem to excite anyone here. I kept a favourite orange container for sentimental reasons.

Yes the tumblers had plastic lids..clear/opaque . They fit really tight ...and never leaked !!!

I still have my lettuce keeper from 1978. I love vintage Tupperware and pick it up whenever I see it!

    Marko, so do I!

I had a great aunt who had a friend who sold Tupperware back then. When I got engaged, my great aunt bought me all sorts of Tupperware. (It's not as if I hadn't already had my own apartment for a few years by then - I guess the idea was that you didn't need Tupperware until you got married!)

A few years ago when we moved, I finally gave away at least a dozen Tupperware bowls with lids (I think the style was called Wonderlier - or something like that...?) as well as misc other Tupperware, all from my Great Aunt in the mid-to-late 1970's.

I kept - and still have - the lettuce keeper (clear with pale green lid) AND 2 handy, stackable "ice cream keepers" (beige, rectangular, cube-like "boxes" that were made to fit those old ice cream cartons.) I have never used them for ice cream, but I found them worth keeping because they fit in the fridge better than the round bowls.

I have been so busy antiquing now that things are opening up that I haven’t posted my finds!

This Blue Willow Ware dish needs a good soak to clean the crazing but I like it. It’s a Buffalo Pottery pickle dish, 1911. While there are fakes of Buffalo Pottery, I think this dish is authentic because of the shape and the shading of the Buffalo on the mark.

It’s sort of a neat history because (at least according to Spruce Crafts) it was “the first American-based company to produce a line of Blue Willow Ware”.

It was a promotional item, a “gift with purchase” offered by Larkin Soap Company.

I love both Blue Willow Ware and old advertising and promotional items, so I’m very pleased with it for the $1.00 I paid. (Worthpoint Value of $13, so not a big ticket item - just something I like and plan to hang in my home.)

I also found this majolica pitcher for $10 at a flea market. A member of the British Pottery Facebook group has the exact same one (he showed me photos) and says it’s been passed down in his family in England (belonged to his grandmother). And I found one on One King Lane also listed as English but no maker listed. (The one on One Kings Lane has an England stamp, mine does not).

    https://www.onekingslane.com/p/4773992-english-majolica-floral-leaf-pitcher.do?gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=CjwKCAjwuIWHBhBDEiwACXQYsf0By8pkRwjku0VVHD1a4L5GLVrtZZ3MYC0CakN623OAkI3RWWEitRoCJR0QAvD_BwE

I’m thinking it’s late 1800’s majolica and not worth much more than the $10 I paid (not really believing the One Kings Lane pricing) but it was fun to research and learn!

Admin why are my photos the right way in my phone and turning when I upload?! Never had this issue before!

If you are using an iPhone, you'll need to get used to the posted images being the wrong way around. Many here have the same problem and as far as I know no one has found a solution.

Thanks for explaining. I never had that issue on my old iPhone but on my new iPhone I now do.

Some of you saw this on other threads, but these are my finds from yesterday. Not a lot of vendors out yesterday, but you just never know.
I bought some jewelry for $2, and the lady gave me this 18" coral necklace.

I bought this piece Friday night at the auction. I did not even remember seeing it as I got there late & my preview was about 5 minutes long.:rolleyes:

I was waiting my turn & kind of looking it over but did not recognize the name. There were 2 guys that bid but no one wanted to beat my $10.00 bid. :p:p

So it was $11.00 with the buyer's premium. I listed it yesterday afternoon & it just sold about 30 minutes ago. I accepted an offer for $71.99. :smug::smug::smug:

Here is a link to the listing.

The ball rolls as the toy is pulled along.:happy:

If you do a search for Briere pull toys you will be surprised how many are out there. I am not sure if they are still producing them or not.

I bet the time of year didn't hurt! Uncle Sam always sells but right around the 4th he probably gets a boost.

I have no idea what happened to my lettuce keeper..but I still have the green plastic knife it came with!!
I also need to check..but I think the burger "press" and "freezer keepers" I have are Tupperware.

    Looks like Upstate for sure.

I found ways to waste time, a wooden bowl I'm hoping is worth more than I paid, and a nasty thunderstorm that mostly missed me.

I also bought this empty Ruger “Single Six” box for $3.+. I bought it thinking I know of several people back in Colorado that probably have this gun and I would just send it to one of them.
Then I decided to look on eBay and I see the same one ending in two days has 17 bids @ $190 or so. So a rare box? There are similar black ones that have a white laurel that sell for $150 and less, I’m guess the yellow laurel is rare. 9EFED773-BA69-4FCA-88D8-0F975273A874.jpeg
