Antique pocket knife

    Found this very old looking pocket knife with no makers marks. Was looking for any opinions as to where or when this was made? I know some pocket knives can be hundreds of years old. I have an old ax from the 1700s that has similar pitting to the blade.     What are the scales made of? Looks like a homemade slip joint with screw driver wriggle engraving.

    Scales are brass. Not sure about the engraving

    It could be "trench art". Circa world war I or world war II. Just an idea to throw out there.

    looks like a made in India left out in the elements
