I've got a nice old tapestry with madonna and child and 2 angels.

Can someone help me from what century it is? Or help me with other info.

I live in Belgium, so I think the tapestry could be European.

    Thanks in advance!

You will need better photos plus choose Full Image when posting.

You might be able to edit and do so with present pictures.

Lovely. You can take it out of the frame and clean the glass, and grab a few pics of it .It wont hurt anything or reduce the value.

I would hold off taking this one out off the frame. I think this could be as old as late 18th, early 19th century.

Which means it could be very very fragile.

But that's just a wild guess from pictures where you can't tell enough to make such a guess.

Welcome from just north of the border, Bart.

Your lovely folk art Madonna could be parchment instead of tapestry. It looks embossed, with glass beads or cabochons added to it. In either case I would be very careful if you decide to take it out of the frame. Personally, I wouldn't take the risk.

I'm with Jivvy on the possible age, I wouldn't be surprised if it was 18th century, maybe even older.
I think it could be Belgian, following in the tradition of the 16th century "Mechelse Hofjes" or "Besloten Hofjes". Obviously not as grand, but certainly a very nice piece.
    Mechels Hofje:

From your name I take it that you read Dutch/Flemish, so here is a site with info:
    https://beslotenhofjes.com/wat-zijn-de-besloten-hofjes/
On the site is a video with English subtitles and some explanation in English, so everyone can enjoy this typical Mechelen artform.

While waiting on the OP, I thought I would post some examples of the needlework that I'm thinking of when I say that I think this could be 18th/19th century work.

A Spanish metallic thread and stumpwork embroidered silk picture: Shroud of Turin early 18th century

English Needlepoint Picture of Shepherds, 19th century, watercolor and silk, the figures depicted with sheep and a house, ht. 16 3/8, wd. 17 1/4 (sight), framed 19 1/2 x 20 in. (I included this one because I think the faces on the OP's piece are likely watercolor as well)

Antique French Silk Embroidery, An Outstanding And Extremely Rare Fine Framed Antique Embroidery Of A Man With His Dog, 17th Century (it's etsy, I make no claims about the accuracy of the description, but look at that face and hand!)

ANTIQUE FRENCH BLUE STUMPWORK PELMET SILVER METALLIC EMBROIDERY 19TH-CENTURY (It's pinterest, so no link, but the provided description seems reasonable). I included this one because of the glass/stone embellishments.
