Hello it was suggested I place this request in this forum. I have a nice piece of redware with yellow background and indigo blue draping. Had piece over 20 years. Looking to find out as much as possible about the piece. I had posted pictures of piece in my original post. Unable to determine age. Some chips on glazing but no cracks. Pa is well know for yellow slip. Can you help me in finding out more about this piece? Is ir authentic as to age?

Without knowing size, it looks to me, like an ice bucket missing wicker handles.

Based on the glaze and the clay color it brings to my mind Torquay pottery. We'll have to wait for our boardies from the UK to give the thumbs up or thumbs down on that idea.

Otherwise, there is similar pottery made in Pennsylvania.

Thank you for your assessment. It is rather tall and wide. While I don't have a tape measure at the moment and piece at home my guess is maybe 12 inches or greater length. Width maybe 5-6 inches
