In those new images it looks like hematite; have you tried taking a magnet to it?

 

That's what I thought, maybe it is hemalyke, artificial hematite? There are bubbles in the long beads...

 

That's why I suggested a magnet; it'll stick to hematite but not hemalyke.

 

Hematite is not magnetic unless it has a bit of magnetite in it.Hemalyke is magnetic.

 

Hemalyke is glass. Hematite is an iron compound and sticks like crazy.

 

They are plastic without a doubt ... very clunky big plastic
