French chair?

Hello all! I acquired this chair from an antique dealer and it was labeled "Antique French Chair". I've tried to get more info on it and found that it maybe an Empire style. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Most French Empire have straight horizontal backrests and other legs.

I'm afraid that your photos are a bit small and blurry, so some of those who may know more about your chair won't be able to see them well.

Yes, I can try and do it again. The first time I tried, I got a message that they were too big.

 

Not Empire. Think more Louis XVI but wait to see what other say. Certainly not my area of expertise. Doubt it is a period example but more/better photos will be necessary.

 

Louis XVI would not be my guess. actually, I'd search for a style that allows the "stabilizer rods" between the legs. which is not really a sign of class.
