LOL well hopefully that never happens:) .

I don't know who made you plate or if it was made one place and decorated another. Someone here probably would recognize it but it's not something I know.

I'm attaching the Greiner marks from Rontgen's but they don't look right to me. If I were guessing (oh yea, I am guessing) I'd think maybe the mark in blue on the ebay plate is an f3 that looks rather like an LB the K might be important. shrug emoji smal purple.jpg

I'm also attaching a French Moustiers mark from Curtil's book Marques et Signatures de la Faience Francaise but don't think it's right either but looks closer. No idea if anything like it was made there though.

I put the ebay plate marks last so you don't have to scroll back.

The Moustiers looks pretty good to me.

It does look similar but it is missing the cross on the left letter as well as the K. I don't know every kind of thing that might have been produced in Moustier but it's not the type of thing I usually associate with there. For one thing yours appears that it may be porcelain. It was really to illustrate that there are marks other than Limbach that were close. Not sure exactly who's Moustier mark it is.

Hopefully someone will know a lot more than I do.:)

Think I found why the seller thought Limbach. Here are similar marks from a couple books in case it wasn't confusing enough. Some are from other places though I'm not convinced any of these are definitive also keeping in mind yours doesn't actually have this.

From Kovel's Dictionary of Marks 1650-1850

Oh my, so very many! And with different workers having different penmanship, it is incredibly difficult. Since mine did not even have a marking on it, I'm going to just leave it alone. You did ALL the work!
If I ever see a verifiable blank or mold like my plate, besides hers, I will look further. You spent an incredible amount of time on this. Many thanks say-it-slowly.
