They are pink or salmon-colored with swirled bases that are semi-transluscent when held up to the light. They have a relief of grapes and what might be lions or griffins around the top. I searched to match the marks but was unsuccessful. Could anyone help identify them? Thanks.

Go to Edit, more options, check first box (full size all images), save changes. It will be easier for us to see. ;)

Toba, make sure you DO check back on your post. The people who know about your bowls may not be online right now. :)

Looks like a Japanese exporters mark. Other than that I can't help.
    Welcome to the board.

Interesting cross on crown, unless as Pat says, made for export.

This will remain a mystery. I checked the gotheborg site and the mark and campy style of the bowls were reminiscent of early to mid 20th century Japanese porcelain, maybe Moriyama or Chikaramachi which used a wreath and crown (or a knockoff of that company). If the bowls were exports to the US, they'd be easier to date because of the MADE IN JAPAN requirement. So many companies. So much list information because of WW2. Thanks again for the replies

Hi, my sister got the same bowls from someone in Penang who lives in a bungalow with a lot of antiques in the house. I did some research for her (no, I am not an expert) but was curious. Based on the logo - Crown and Olive Leaf , it should be country with a King & it’s in the West. I nailed it down to Germany and England. Since it is translucent, I checked both of the countries. It seems England has some similar products (close, but not exactly the same). Also, Malaysia was a Commonwealth country. Asian products tend to use Characters as logo.
