I got a big bouquet of old seed bead flowers recently and decided to sell each type of flower separately. I noticed that other sellers name the kind of flower they are selling, and would like to do the same. I have some daisies, some lilies, and a couple of others.
What do you suppose these are? @Ownedbybear? Anyone else? Thanks.

Those are nice Book. I have some here that came in a MIJ planter. Sold the planter minus the flowers.
    Wish mine were so undusty.

    Thanks Pearls.
I washed mine - they were filthy!!!! And they were stuck in the vase with really old, really nasty, really sticky floral clay. But I'm not easily thwarted when I'm determined. :hilarious:

HA!!! AND I've got a bunch stuck in a 'ceramic pig' under a spinning wheel....and am betting they're REAL dusty!!!!!!!!!!!:smuggrin::smuggrin::joyful::joyful::joyful: At least swishing them in soapy water doesn't sound like a bad idea, at all!!

I think sort of single dahlia, but daisy will do. ;) Modellers aren't botanists, often.

Turns out it wasn't a "Bunch"......just one.....Anybody care to venture what kind of flower this is supposed to be??? I think I'm "Florally Challenged"!!!! (These are AFTER a quick bath & hair dryer!)

Aqui - :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: - good job cleaning it!

But, you have to gently manipulate its (I almost said feathers) petals into shape. Yours all need to be pulled out and upward and artistically arranged.
Of course that's easy for me to say, mine only have five petals!!!

Book, Aqui, can you share with me how you cleaned the flowers? What sort of soap did you use and did you put them in a bowl with water and soap or swish them around or what?
Thanks for the input. I am off to the supermarket now before it gets to be eve hotter.

I held each flower under a stream of warm water, dripped a little drop of dish detergent on top, and gently rubbed each petal and leaf with my fingers of the other hand. Then rinse well.
I also used a soft tooth brush on a few.
Be careful of getting the floral tape too wet.

    You're welcome.

Here are three stems of violets(?). Each stem has three flowers, two buds, five full leaves, and two baby leaves. One of the leaves has rust on the beads - it didn't come off with gentle scrubbing with the toothbrush so I left it alone.

I really don't know what the maker intended. As OBB always points out, artists are not botanists. ;)

I'm back from the market, super hot out there. I love those purple flowers.
I have to find mine here. I think mine are like Aqui's.

More like forget me not flowers. Violets have five petals but held as two above and three below. Nott all the same size.

    This: [IMG]

Whereas forget me nots have five equal pointed petals.

There's also a blue alpine gentian, but I'd think that a bit obscure.
