    There is no way this dresser is "new." The form of the dovetails to join the drawer corners had a limited life of usage and hasn't been used in my lifetime (and I'm in my 70s.)

    They're called Knapp joints aka pin & cove. Only in use for about 30 years. Do a search on this site for Knapp and you'll see a number of posts on the subject.

    It starts CULL… then I don’t know. It looks like it could be readable under the proper lighting..I’m getting a glare

    Dates range for Knapp joints are approximately 1870 to 1900.

    It's also quarter sawn oak - my guess on date would be about 1895-1900, which jibes the the company history. These days $150 wouldn't even cover the lumber.

    Knapp joint: American 1870-1900. Also called pin and cove.
