Sterling & Glass Match Strike...London-1913...Maker Mark Help??

    Yes, it does appear to be London, 1913. The maker's punch is a total mess, though, and I couldn't find anything conclusive.

    Fascinating thing. I had not seen glass strikers before and was skeptical that the glass ribs would do the job, but a quick search showed me oodles of them. Learn something new everyday here!

    There isn't one that matches yours, although there are some later ones that might be subsequent mark registrations for a firm for which earlier marks are missing.

    Frankly, as AF would say "some blokes in a shed." I doubt that identifying the maker would make a difference.

    Nice finds! Were they all together?

    They're fairly common here, both with and without the silver collar.
