History lover

    Hi
    I am 65 years old and have a passion about history, American and European and English.
    I look for and when very lucky make some good finds from Redware to silver. I enjoy trying to solve the riddles that sometimes come along with these items. The piece of redware that brought me to the Forum was purchased at Goodwill at least 20+ yrs ago. I am a pediatric nurse. Learning is all around us we just have to listen. I may buy an item cheaply and in not so good shape just to learn from it.

    Thank you. I can tell by your responses your love for the history of an object. Quite thrilling at times. Sometimes an objects speaks to you from across the room be it silver, furniture etc.
