Question About 35mm Slides

I know red borders slides are older, what about these blue border? They look to be the same age...1950's maybe?

 

Is the blue border one also Kodachrome? Is there any other information on the back?

 

If I remember correctly (and I may not,) they're older. But can't you ascertain by subject matter?

The blue borders say Kodak Ready Mount made in USA. Same subject/person in the red and blue border slides.

 

Wearing the same clothes? Driving the same car?

Same furniture same curtains, same person, same dog.

 

According to this internet resource, your red bordered slide dates to 1955-1959.

If same everything, then slide film must have been on market at the same time. Possible explanation that red and blue frames used for different types of Kodak film. According to this, at one time, red was used for Kodachrome film and blue for Ektachrome film. Dunno if that applies to your slides.

Hi,
I had several slides recovered with new cardboard. They were written all over and quite messy, greasy thumbprints and all. They were of other ships taken in 1949. I found them after my 1949 Queen Mary trip to England.

I Need, my blue borders are not solid.

 

I don't know what was available when the slides were taken, but today you can buy slide mounts to mount the slides yourself. So I'd think it's possible the owner mounted the blue ones him or herself.
