mdina glass?

    It's a Mdina basket weight, I have some. Very common, and very pretty.

    Forgive me, OBB. Does "basket weight" mean a paperweight in the form of a basket? A new term for me.

    In this context, Mdina, yes it does. They call it that. The caveat is that in more general paperweight terms it means an arrangement of canes in a paperweight surrounding a central decoration.
