    Hi All,
Would this be Fenton? Maybe the crimps tell the story on who made it? 9 1/2" x 3"
    Any information appreciated.
    Thanks for looking.

IMHO it's Fenton's cranberry coin dot but I couldn't document it.

Looking at the tight crimps, I'm more inclined toward Northwood.

@dgbjwc did you happen to check there? I haven't

thanks cluttered & Don - I was hoping the crimping would make this easy to id:)
I don't have any books on Fenton or Northwood so I've been looking on-line. I can find several pieces the same, listed as Fenton or Fenton/Northwood.
    Will keep looking.

Thank you, Tallcakes. The reverse pattern was also throwing me. I appreciate you're clearing that up.

    Hi, peeps!
Two things. You have to have Adobe Flash Player running. They are always doing updates and it gets things all messed up for a lot of stuff.

And I have not been able to open them with my Google Chrome browser for a long time. I can get them to open with Firefox AND then it will tell you if you do not have the correct Adobe Flash Player. Other browsers may work, but Google Chrome does not.

Here is the page that tallcakes was referring to in the Fenton 1950 catalog (see photo). cxgirl, the 1522 bowl looks to be the same mould as yours. Crimps can't always help ID Fenton because they used several different styles and other glass makers use the same ones, also. In fact these bowls and the AA Importing bowls are very similar in shape and design. See attached photos.

Also, the color and pattern on your bowl is called Cranberry Dot Optic and the "reverse" pattern as seen in the catalog is Coin Dot. I know, these drive me crazy trying to remember because I want to call it Coin Dot and Coin Spot. But no, that would be too logical! LOL.

Another note, based on the books by Whitmyers; Walk; and Domitz, there were not any catalogs nor many records kept on this particular color and pattern of Cranberry Dot Optic. Fenton did make several pieces for L.G. Wright in Cranberry Dot Optic and possibly others retailers, but there were not many records on them.

I have all of the Fenton books and am friends with some of the authors, so if I can look something up for you, feel free to ask.

Welcome to the forum Parker House!!!:happy:

It will be nice to have another member who is fluent in Fenton glass. We already have a few but it is always nice to have backups. ;):D:D

This is a great forum & if you hang around long enough you learn things sometimes without even trying.:rolleyes:

I deleted my Adobe Flash totally. I kept getting all kinds of error messages & we deleted / uploaded it twice before I said I had had enough. I use mostly IE but will use Google Chrome for the few things that get snaky on me in IE. Now my PDF files come up using Windows Edge & they work just fine. I just tried & was able to open both of the links without any problem.:happy:
