    I was in Raren a few years ago. nice museum. it's good to have at least a hint that the family name could be from Belgium. Raren was one of the birthplaces for saltglazed stoneware; from there emigrants went also to Germany.
    but I still have a problem to classify that obscure item with classical Raeren pottery because saltglaze and stoneware look so differently.
    I still have a few left under the stairs :smuggrin: and the feeling to touch them is completely different.

    they could even be relatives of the famous Mennicken Piss :hilarious:
