The rolled gold plate is worth more per gram than sterling to scrappers

Very nice, tie dye cat. Love a nice big jewelry lot. Sharona, keep us updated on the Yixing teapot. It looks like a nice one from what I can tell, although I have no idea what it says. Those pots can be tricky. Good luck with it, I hope it's good :)

Are those black pearls real? And is that a hallmark under that big honker diamond?

My best find is a Welz Atomizer/Perfume Bottle in the Bubbles Decor. I got it on Ebay. It had only been listed a short time (hour or two) and already had 5 watchers. it was priced too good to pass up, and I have no idea why one of the other 5 watchers didnt grab it up.

Now, I know absolutely nothing about Atomizers or Perfumes but I think this is missing a bulb thingy. And do I call it an Atomizer? Perfume? Something else? If it is missing pieces could someone enlighten me (I'm a guy...what do I know about Atomizers LOL)

I rubbed them on my teeth and they don't feel real, but given the setting, I'm not totally discounting that they are real.

Big honker diamond! I love it! Do you mean that little spot of yellow you can kind of see in the middle of the stone? If so, I'm not sure what that is.

I've looked everywhere on this, and I don't see any marks.

I'll take it to the jewelry store before I list it. I imagine it's glass or paste? The jewelry store here is a bit snooty, but I'll give it a try anyway. I'll let you all know what I find out.

S.O.S. - I never even thought to look on CW. I guess I need a hose and bulb thingy LOL. I'll know more once I get it in my hands.

T.D.C. I just started collecting Czech glass and I am leaning towards Welz more and more. There is some great deco shapes and very cool decors.

If you are planning on keeping it, you can purchase the puffer balls here on ebay. If you are selling it I wouldn't bother replacing it because the collectors don't care.

I speak from experience because the majority of my atomizers either come without the puffers or they are removed after I get them especially if they get in the way. You have to be careful especially with the ones with the fringe at the end. The fringe gets caught under bottles & when you pick up the attached atomizer you risk knocking over multiple bottles.

    Ber,

I plan on keeping this piece. Now that I know what to look for, It should make my search easier.

Thank you for the heads up on fringes. I appreciate it.

You are very welcome. I don't bother for 2 reasons; 1) I don't ever plan on using any of my atomizers to actually spray perfume & 2) it would cost me a small fortune to equip all of my bottles with the appropriate puffer mechanism.

Here's a better picture of that pin - I think what you're seeing is design maybe.

On a cool sidenote, I found out this type of pin was called a Haley's Comet pin, made to celebrate when Haley's Comet passed by in 1910. Seems that the stone is usually paste on these.

I would still get that tested, as the setting isn't usual for a paste stone.
