This looked useful. One whole pound.

Bet it weighs more than a pound.

I used to have a cat that could open the drawers on something like this & many of us know what happens then.

A friend had kittens who could open the fridge door. The result can be imagined.

I imagine kittens shut inside a refrigerator. :nailbiting:

With very full tummies. They were remarkably unscathed, but a bit grumpy.

It would make a nice random loose bead holder too. Too small for me of course!

I do like a temple guardian - this monster is just 12" tall but for some reason was cast in solid bronze so he weighs nearly 12lbs. Oh, and he is definitely very male!

Love the color pallet of this painting by Allen H. Newton. It was $3.50 after my senile discount. It was oddly behind glass with a shadow box effect. The frame is original so I’m not sure why the artist decided to put it behind glass. I removed the glass and remounted the painting. It’s titled verso “Andover Hills” (Vermont) and dated 1928. Nice size too @ 16” x 20”.

What a lovely find. He (the artist) painted the New England landscape with great love.

Love the colors. The Andover I know is in Massachusetts, but the two share a border. There's an Andover, VT too, population under 500 if the Wiki is correct.

You guys now have me looking at art. I need a bigger house. I picked up a cruddy framed lithograph today, but I know it will clean up beautifully, and then I will share it with you. To keep it small, I picked up this Judy Lee brooch. Not cheap, but it was love at first sight, and I had a 20% off coupon. Shown in two different settings.

Some of today’s finds. An 8 day mercury pendulum clock that I saw another picker purchase last week for $20, she thought it was broken “overwound” so she donated it back to $avers and I bought it today for $10. It wasn’t overwound, it only had the slow/fast adjuster set all the way to the slowest setting, it’s an easy one to set as you are able to watch the suspension spring rise as you adjust it.

This David Ortiz autographed ball was $2.99 in a bag with two other unsigned balls.

This Shenango China plate from Alice’s Restaurant was $1.99. The restaurant of Arlo Guthrie fame actually wasn’t called Alice’s but a fun piece nonetheless.

Couldn’t leave this old framed and creased postcard for $1.99. I think it will go in our rental cottage bathroom.

You do find the stuff. Big Papi signed a bunch of balls, but to get one in a bag of practice balls... bingo.
