At first, I thought this was a milk glass bowl, since the surface was white and shiny. I realized it was clay based, when I saw the decorations. I haven't been able to described it accurately, so I can found out about it. So I thought I would ask here. While it is of no great consequence as an object, what intrigues me is the glaze. I hate to bother the members here with this, but perhaps, my question will help me and others learn. It is 3 inches tall and 4 3/4 inches in diameter. Any comments, ideas, suggestions very much appreciated.

19th century. That thick white glaze was used on British little fairings and vases, but I think yours might be continental. Those wee hand rolled petals and leaves seem to say that, with the bit of colour over glaze. A salt I'd think.
