This was $1.49 @ $avers, so of course I had to buy it, if for nothing else to figure out the marks, I haven’t had much luck. The marks are on the top surface not the bottom.
I think the letters on either side of the figural mark are G & M and I’ve never seen the other mark “6.” It has three black bakelite ball feet and is about 8” in diameter. Anyone know these marks?

I would try French silver plate. But that's on the first cup of coffee, so maybe something else will come to mind. ;)

Whether inverted or not.....looks pretty much the same.......it also almost looks like the G or C on the left of the figure (which looks sort of like an open mouthed Disney caricature with a large nose in the air & holding or ringing a bell) and a joined but weak AM on the right......just a thought........otherwise.....I've got ZIP!!

Letter to the "bird's" right is looking a lot 2 conjoined letters - A and M? A and the number 1?

I think you’re right, lots of similar French plate marks with letters on either side of a figure and a separate number designating the amount of silver used.

Could that the MB is for "metal blanc" which the French use for the various alloys we see as "german silver", nickel silver, and in Europe, alpacca.

Another "could be" - the "dot" after 6 may have been a G for grams.
