    Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help with identifying a display cabinet that has been handed down.

It would have belonged to a great aunt who would have been born around the early 1900s that was very world travelled and lived in Cape Town for many years so the actual place of origin could be anywhere.

She had been using it to display several sets of Japanese tea sets etc that I will also be trying to identify at some stage. She had placed some Japanese style paper backed with newspaper in the back of the cabinet obviously to assist with the display of china. When I removed the paper (dated 1962) there was a texture to the back and also to the bottom almost like a leather pattern and feel.

There are 3 glass shelves that I have removed.

On the back is stamped XXXX this appears to be the only markings.

I had more photos to post but can’t seem to get them to upload I might be exceeding the limit and will need to resize them on the PC.

Thanks in advance for any information. C7344AE0-89C0-4315-BD1C-50E749D7BBB5.jpeg 7A71C240-C1D6-4D9C-8FA4-10B89D1C3BF0.jpeg
