This chandelier has been hanging in our Victorian London house since we bought it and we'd love to know more about it.

It has a double headed eagle at the top and 9 arms with faces engraved at their base. It looks like it was electrified after it was built and looks like it's brass - but that's about all we know! Any thoughts much appreciated.

I think because the casting isnt particularly fine that it is a later reproduction. I also dont see the usual things like gas jet handles, etc when an older piece was converted. I could be wrong though so wait for others. Its still a nice piece and I bet goes well in your victorian.

Screenshot_20210619-004332.png Nice chandelier. I'd say early 20th century. Baroque in style, Dutch or Flemish. Those glass screens are later additions. Here is what it's supposed to look like

Well found, Matt! Can you link where you got the photos from? Might be helpful to the OP.

if it was only bronze... brass sheets and tubes with some in-between casted pieces.
sold everywhere as Dutch lamps up till at least the 60s. today no value anymore; after the war found in every home to replace the true stuff for little money.

Oh I simply googled 'dutch baroque chandelier', there are plenty of those online.

I believe there is some age to it, maybe around 1930 or so but it's certainly not older.

I'd remove those glass screens, it would totally look better without them.
