Found this for $12+ after my coupon. Northern Pacific Railroad poster titled Montana Roundup by Jessamine Spear Johnson. Original frame and glass and it’s big at 40” wide.

Now I really am jealous. My late father was a hard core rail nut. He'd have loved that!

Took a chance on an unboxed jigsaw today at the Charity shop. Alas two pieces missing but I thought the figures were nice. I might frame them up as a group.

Nice graphics. I was in an antique store today, selling stuff, and the owner had a stack of jigsaws printed on paper but wood-mounted. Didn't ask what he wanted for them.

Few more things from the Charity shop.
I really liked the Czech foiled glass brooch for £2.50, the silver ring was said to be turquoise but I don’t know if that’s correct but for £4 it was cheap enough and the unicorn earrings were £1.50.

Bargains have been a bit thin on the ground for a while, but then several came along this week. This is perhaps my favourite (and most profitable), a Kacho-Ga vase by Taizan Yohei, beautifully painted with a sparrow and raised enamel collar. Bought at auction for the opening price (£31 inc juice), no one else bid! It was catalogued as 'Japanese vase'.

I wouldn't have known it either, but it's pretty. The bird addicts here would have bid it up a bit, because "it has birds on it" and not known it was by anyone important.

Chrysoberyl of some sort. It's turquoise-y probably. Did you check those unicorns for marks? They might be gold-plated sterling if nothing else.

There’s better pics of the ring on the Jewelry forum and it does point to being turquoise. The unicorns don’t appear to have a mark but I’ve mislaid my loupe so I’m just relying on my failing eyesight. I think they are probably silver though.

Check the ear posts on the unicorns, some times earrings are marked there :)
