Vintage Glass Display Jar with Metal Lid

In a horrible turn of events while moving I broke my mother’s favorite antique display jars. She has (had) three of them and bought them while down in Texas antique shopping. She’s heart broken and I’m feeling extremely guilty. I would love to replace them if at all possible. I’ve done some research and think they are old display jars for candy? Not really sure though. I haven’t been able to find any jar that looks like them. They are about 12in high and 7in wide. The metal lid simply sits on the glass rim, it does not screw. You can tell the lid was once green. The glass is vintage light blue. Does anyone know what they were used for? How/where I can find more? Do they have a specific name? Any information on them that you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Beautiful jars, such a shame. Those will not be easy or cheap to replace. They look antique to me. Here is a similar one...
