    Actually as I'm inspecting is not the same statue. It's very similar but mine has been broken and missing the head so easily mistook it. Does have HB tho and needle won't even mark it

    Since this thread has been brought up again, I want to reply to this perennial issue:

    Here are the results of a couple of hot needle tests done on an ivory cameo:

    Because the back of the piece was covered with a metal plate, inquiring minds performed this procedure right in open space on the front.
