Pin and bank clip

Was just after info on these two items a Friend recently found
First is this large (about 5 inch) old safety pin and wanted to know a little bit of info on roughly what era etc
The second is this bank clip (her
Grandfather was a banker) just wants to know any info anyone has on this type of thing.

The clip sold for $25 in 2011 according to Worthpoint.

 

A company in the US called Risdon Corp used to make these pins here in the States from the late 1940's well into the 1960's. They called them KEY TAGS (see photo below - I've circled the words.) My grandfather worked for Risdon for many years - thru WWII until about 1965, and we always had TONS of these pins around the house.

Despite their original intended use, they had many other uses. (Horse blankets, for sure!) My grandmother even used them to hold her knitting stitches when she needed to switch needles. I still have a few of them around.
