Fur Identification

My boss gave me this fur coat...it was his mom's who passed away and he just wanted to get rid of it. There's no tag so I have no idea what kind of fur it is. Only marking it has is some embroidery sewn on the inner lining.

    Lois S would be the original owner. It was a very nice jacket in its day. And another vote for mink.

    His mom owned an antique store in Clinton, Tennessee and the coat was inventory. I'll never wear it but I may find someone who wants it. Thanks Lois!

    If you live in an area where no one dares wear fur or it's damaged I bet an animal rescue would be all over it. They use fur coats and heating pads for baby animals rescued without the mother. Usually they use damaged or old pieces that can't be worn any more. That one looks to be in good shape.

    Those minks have been dead for 50 years. Make a throw pillow or two out of it . :)
