    I can’t recognize it as having any military origin. To ID it as an artillery cartridge case, there must be at least enough left in original form to recognize it; in this item, there’s nothing like that.

    Upside down in the first pic. Looks like a fitter for a floor lamp. More likely brass than bronze.
