Featured Ferro Murano

Hi

This huge bowl just arrived. I bought it as a “ceramic” bowl although I suspected it was glass. It has no translucency due to a coating on the underside but it certainly appears to be glass and is marked ferro murano. Can anyone tell me anything about it? As you know I specialise in ceramics.

 

It's glass. There are a few others with the same pattern/design on ebay but different color. Nice bowl.

 

Google Yalos Casa Murano, I think that could be what it is but is the base glass or painted? Perhaps not if the latter. What is the size, John?

Here’s an eBay offering so maybe not. There are many fake Murano labels so I’d be cautious.

Thanks. It’s the same mark as the eBay one but printed on the base not a label and the finish is very similar- paint like.
