We had a New Haven RR bell for yoinks, until the tree my dad had it attached to needed to come down. It was, I think, iron, and was painted too. A local museum has it now - they sent a team and cheerfully hauled it off and put it back to work. I hope your poor bell won't get stuck sitting somewhere silently.

WOW!! That website says that 'Snowflake' is $89.00 for the silver!! Of course, you CAN get it in 14K gold too for an increase in $$ !!!

Our thrifts here are goofy. You never know when they will put things out. Sometimes it's in the middle or end of the day. You never know in some what days the manager will show up and when to put the jewelry out.

Yeah, I can't believe when they googled it they couldn't find it. I'm not the best with tech, but I can find what I'm looking for 90% of the time.

They put out things all day long there too. I guess it is luck if you are there at the right time.

You never know here either. Except that the local Ill Will doesn't stock jewelry except Target leftovers.

These are what's left of Thursday's scores. I melted two pedestrian pair of 14k earrings, although the pawn will probably put them out for sale as is. What's left are sterling and spiny oyster/turquoise inlay, probable sandcast Native American (stamped with initials top and bottom) , 14k hoops and John Hardy sterling with 14k and white sapphire. I haven't tested but that's what he used.

And the stuff from my last "hit" at an estate sale. All sorts of odds and ends. The icon is St. Somebody and might be silver. The lion is from India. The amber is amber. The estate was from Igor Sikorsky's son, as in helicopter maker. His and his wife's estate was FULL of old auto-related paper. The first wave through was after that and bought some of the jewelry. They missed a 14k and aquamarine necklace and a 14k bracelet. I didn't.
