Have a pair of hand forged arrowheads or small spear points. Beautifully made, would like to find out if anyone can give me an idea of age and origin. They look old but don't know how old, they have remnants of wooden shafts. These measure 4 1/2" in length. Thank you in advance. speartips3.JPG

They don't strike me as weapons. More like something that was meant to go in & stay in, like garden stakes.

Or a friend just suggested finials for something.

as an arrow head it would be near impossible to control it's flight....
I am unfamiliar with any spade shape arrows or spears...

    It's the red Queen's soldier's spear tip.

    Finials of some sort.
I have even seen similar shapes on the finials of curtain rods.

I saw that attribution at some point, but it does not seem correct. There is a Kasai river in the Congo (the source of the raffia fabrics called Kasai velvets), but no Kassai. I cannot find any other reference to a "Kassai" people anywhere. And I don't know what he means by "Oriental" on a site for Africanarms.com. So I am still looking for some other corroboration.

Excellent Info Thanks! It's so useful to have additional thoughts and eyes on a subject. My first thought was African but wanted to get input since I couldn't pin it down and with everyone's help now we know. Thanks everyone your input is highly appreciated.
