Featured Anyone Indentify Buffalo China Pattern?

Creamer & sugar are fairly large, .

 

I wonder if there was no pattern name but just the number 1019? Lovely set!

I do not know the name but the number written in gold was the ID of the person who added the gold trim. Beautiful set.

Lovely set! According to a couple of backstamp/marks sites, the year items were made is included in Buffalo China backstamps. The number included in the backstamp on yours looks like 1920 to me meaning the year made. At first I thought it was 1820, but as the company wasn't started until 1903, it has to be 1920. I looked at the patterns replacements.com has for Buffalo Pottery/China with no luck spotting this one.

Following is a site about Buffalo Pottery/China. In later years they did quite a bit of restaurant ware. One thing that has me confused (buffaloed) on the following site, page 3, it says in 1956 the company name was changed to Buffalo China. I guess this mean before then the company's name was Buffalo Pottery. With your backstamps "Buffalo China," I thought this would mean your set wasn't made until after 1956? If so that shoots down what some sites are saying about the date of mfg. in the backstsmp. Not true, I have included a page of many Buffalo China marks from the RWCN, restaurant ware site. Note there are several marks dating before 1956 with Buffalo *China* followed with a date of mfg.

okay, I think I have an explanation for the conflict in mark information. The pieces are from 1920 even thought it also says Buffalo China not Buffalo Pottery. Buffalo China mark was used prior to 1956 when wares had a china composition unlike the early pottery lines like Deldare.

"A number of different marks were used by Buffalo Pottery, most featuring an American bison somewhere in the logo (click on the photo above to see a larger view showing a "buffalo" in the center of the mark), and all indicating the date the piece was made. Buffalo made both semi-vitreous and vitreous wares, and some pieces indicated the type in the mark."

I want it to a RR line okay I am dreaming...Pattern name still a mystery. Thanks all for looking

 

Do you know what year this was made? I have the same mark but 3BH underneath.
