Featured 3 Toe, ruffle edge bowl. Fostoria Heirloom?

Ran across this stunner at the same flea market Tuesday that I found the bear planter. Same dealer. 10 1/2" diameter at widest point. Light amethyst in color with an light blue opalescent rim and band. My first thought when I spotted it was Fostoria's Heirloom but after doing some research I was unable to find this bowl. Would appreciate any information you could share. TIA...Carl

 

Hi crs - reminds me of Fenton actually - especially those feet. On my way to do some chores but will search more when I can.

Hi Carl - I got early parole! Fenton Wisteria Opalescent Wide Rib - early 1900's. Very nice find!

Thanks Don. I followed you suggestion and found the pattern but not the color. The ones I found were calling it ringed. I'm glad you gave me the correct name. Thanks you very much!

 

Don, can you verify some info,please? According to this website the year for Amethyst is 1933. 1937 for Wisteria satin. Wisteria 1977-78. If this pattern was only made in the early 1900's then this must be Amethyst, correct? http://www.fentonfan.com/colors.html

 

Hi Carl - I've rechecked my references - I'm using the Heacock book and the Whitmeyer book. Neither book pictures your piece but both refer to the color as amethyst opalescent. It's easier to find in the Waterlily and Cattails pattern so you might want to check those pieces out too. I think some sellers are referring to the color as Wisteria opalescent and that's where I got confused. Sorry, didn't mean to mislead you - I'm still on a learning curve with Fenton . Don
