Can someone provide any insight into this bench?

    I found it in an antique shop in NY recently. Curious if anyone has any opinions about its origin.

    A mahogany settee that was probably part of a parlor set containing chairs and possibly a sofa. Empire revival ca. 1900, probably made in one of the dozens of local shops in New York at the time. Very pretty; I'd expect it to go for around $200 at auction in my part of the U.S. Midwest. Probably more in New York.

    You can't buy this kind of quality new.

    Thank you for the reply. I paid a lot more than 200. It was recently reupholstered. It's quite nice.
