    Hey,

Agreed, Sevres copy! Either way it's fine (old copy or original), I didn't pay much for it.

She still needs a home and a bit of TLC.

I really like that painting trip - the face is so clear, almost like a photo!
Nice piece nuff - someone will want her.

    Thanks, CX!

    I'm a little blue... :(

As in little blue vases... :D

    BLUE VASES 002-001.JPG

The first, a thickly potted Japanese altar vase (4-1/2 in.) and a tiny (2-1/8 in.) thickly potted mid-20th C.(?) European(?) cutie. That lil' guy has an incised siggy at base that I have not been able to decipher...

No problem Nuff. Sometimes I get lucky deciphering things....not usually too good at it but this time it clicked for me!

I found this Japanese Meiji era large 14" across bronze planter. I found one almost exactly like it that sold not long ago on Ebay for $800 and something but.....Does anyone know what the signature says?

Thank goodness, because I had not a clue.

    Nice piece... It's marked: 'Yoshimasa'.

Below is a Japanese piece I purchased the other day. It's a Kogo (incense box)...

Now it's my turn to thank you Nuff! Did you find it on a Japanese marks site? I've looked everywhere and couldn't find that mark.
I like your kogo a lot...The blue/white insets are a unique feature that make it different from the usual.

Yup, one hand washes the other...;)

No, I had my translator help.

Thank you! Those porcelain inlays are one of the reasons why I made the purchase....a bit unusual.

Found a number of Steiff bears on one of our auction sites this side.

Unfortunately two of them don't have their tags anymore and I'm struggling to find more info on them

The first is a rabbit. I believe woven fur but could be mohair. It has a small patch of black hair. Otherwise it's mostly grey. It is approximately 25cm long. Button in ear is brass and 8-9mm wide.

The other one is a lion cub? Approximately 50cm head to tail. Nickle button in ear that is about 5mm wide.

Does anyone have any info on these two? I want to keep them - just too pretty to sell, but want to know what it is I'm keeping :)

I went to an estate sale this morning, and the best thing I found was the coffee in the supermarket on the way home.(sigh)

I did find a nice midcentury bud vase, but some village idiot GLUED fake plastic flowers into it with that floral foam. I ripped them out, but the ends were all rusty and the interior of the vase is disgusting. I think I can clean it out but...ugh. Who does that.

    Hi Evelyb30,
A lot of people do that even with antique vases. I found the easiest way to remove that floral foam and glue is to pour cheap paint stripper into the vase enough to cover the mess and let it sit for an hour. Then pour the mess out and wash it with warm soapy water.

I'm still playin with my jewels  Thank god and Nuff for that, was like a crack cocaine fix lol (I think and do not know that fix) LOL
I did go to swap today but took another needy child who needed $$ for a speeding ticket I warned her about the the trap 30 minutes for she got it.....but when you powder their behind they do not listen. She's a wonderful daughter other than the eye rolls she is famous for
Anyway it was a little chilly 50's 60's but we made 450 buckers off of carp real carp in about 5 hours....tard now...I think I'll take a nap and play in my jewels. She was blown away, but fairly anti social lol

Anyway I love bronze and blue!! fabulous finds
