This is from Godden's Encyclopaedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks. LTD appeared from 1889 so yours dates after that time. The closest mark shown they have dated c 1930 and later.

Just a thought, if you are planning on selling this know that the stains on the inside and outside bottom are going to seriously impact price and desirability :(

Really? What a pity, I thought that in reality it was the opposite, that through the stains and fading the historical fact was expressed and confirmed the dating.
As far as coins are concerned, this is the case: clean coins or lack of historicity are worth less than intact natural historical preservation.
So for ceramic, I understand that the opposite is true.
Ok, thank you very much for the suggestion.
Yes, I am a seller, my learning is always aimed at resale.

The manufacturing flaw in the lid will not help.
To reduce the stains, try soaking it for a couple of days in a peroxide solution - the kind you get at a hair dresser supply company.

    60-volume hydrogen peroxide?

I've used 20% - 40% though it's possible that the gilt might be affected. It's also possible that the problem is grease that has seeped into the crazing so you might start with warm/hot water with a grease dissolving dish soap. If you were in the US I'd suggest Dawn but that might not be available where you are.

After soaking in soapy water and rinsing, you could possibly try hydrogen peroxide and let it soak up to several days and see how it goes. Remember to soak for a long period in plain water after soaking in peroxide.
