Hi all I was hoping someone might be able to tell me when this buckle was made. There is also the mark on the left of the triangle?
Should this be in Jewelry or Silver? lol

Is that wishful pricing or what.
I like it though as i only paid $1.99 for this one.

Seems VHLC is an unknown maker. Prolific though.

Actually, I suspect someone familiar with Mexican silver marks may be able to give you a rough date.

It's a 1950s mark from Guadelehara. There were two Eagle stamps used and I think that's the earlier one. Beyond that, dunno.

There were many eagle marks and this is the last used eagle mark, ca 1955-1980.

The name of the town is Guadalajara, just like the song.;)

Looked like the earlier one to me, but I bow to superior knowledge, and superior spelling abilities.

I think perhaps Plata de Jalisco was a shop rather than a maker. The only think I could find is this, a business called ArtesanĂas de Plata de Jalisco and an address. That would explain why some of the pieces carry different initials.
