Hi there - I bought this bracelet, lovely and heavy, silver and amber. Has the look of a Scandinavian design, possibly? It has a few marks but I don't recognise any of them. There's a "W/S" (possibly S/M but it doesn't look quite right to me that way round) and some very unclear worn stamps. Just wondered if the expert brains on here had seen anything similar? (more pics to follow...)

All and any info appreciated! Many thanks :) IMG_0415.jpg

    Is there another mark here?

There might have been once but it's impossible to tell now, unfortunately (or it might just be surface wear!)

Gorgeous, Rosie, very nice quality too. Unfortunately the marks that could be assay marks are worn, so we don't know which country to look in for maker W/S.
Where did you buy it, or which country did you buy it from?

From a dealer in the UK, nothing much to go on I'm afraid! I don't think there's much hope of deciphering the marks as they're so worn, I was just hoping it might be something someone recognised, though that's a slim hope, I know :)

    I bet that's Polish.

Good thinking, and quite likely with the amber, I guess. Will have to have a look at some Polish marks! Thank you :)

It's the right style: they tend to do really nice settings.

That is usually my first thought when I see amber in a nice, well made silver setting, but the worn marks don't resemble Polish assay marks.

It could be German. Germany is also on the Baltic, and an amber country. Germany is also one of the countries that manufactured a lot of Modernist jewellery.

After a fresh look at the marks, I think I do see a Polish mark. Let me see if I can tweak..... And Cheryl beat me to it.:hilarious:
