Anybody familiar with these? They're not marked, from what I see but I haven't really scrutinized them. I don't have a way to test for silver but a magnet doesn't stick, for what it's worth. They’re 1" long including the ring. They do move, like others I've seen while researching these. I see lots of single ones online but have not seen a set like this. Wondering if they usually came as a set? I've seen them listed as Chinese, Japanese, and Italian. Most are bigger than these and seem more intricate, with at least some color. Most are listed as antique but I still don't have a good feel for age. Any info would be good. Thanks.

The paper wrapped box points to Asian, either Japanese or Chinese, I don't know.

They may be a boxed set as that is the way the wholesaler probably sold them to the retailer.

Articulated fish charms, most likely Chinese, they're still made, but these look like they may have some age, doubt they're 'antiques' though - might be silver, might be plated. Have seen groups before, but not in their box, suspect Pat is correct - they've been made in numerous places, used to have a regular customer who would buy any I found, anything from tiny 18K Italian charms to big ugly Mexican alpacca & abalone bottle openers.

    Hi,
When I lived near Chinatown in NY. The Chinese department store had a boxes of charms for the Zodiac but also fish, birds etc. I think what you have is a display box. It is really nice.
