Hoping someone can tell me what i have.
    Box is 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" tall.
No markings other than on the bottom is stamped looks like 80 OHMS.
Is it part of an old phone? If i open it up as i haven't tried will there be a makers name?

Yes, you are correct, it's a 'bell set'. There may be a sticker/plaque inside.

    I'm thinking a good deal for $5.00?

I found out this is made by Western Electric.
Interesting addition this has is the bells are adjustable. I was thinking of a restoration before selling. Any thoughts ? Can the bells be polished?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

The bells might polish somewhat, but they don't look brass.......at least to me....

    They're probably nickel-plated brass.
