Never been much of a Barbie fan with the one exception of the Barbie having an unmistakable 60s look.

Who is the big doll to the bottom left?

I think Sindy's are much cuter than Barbies.

To think I never even heard of Sindy prior to you Bou!!:cat::cat:

The bigger one is just a clone I got from her original owner, not my thing again but is waiting to be sold!
My Barbies are American Girls from 1966/1967,and an earlier Ponytail. I'm not a huge Barbie fan either but some of the 60s ones, like you say are the best xx

    I also collect Sindy's sister,Patch

Here is one I found at a booty for ten p.

Gave her a new leg and new hair and now she's delish. They were often sold with mismatched legs and I think it looks awful,so I changed them
    for a pair the same

    As she came

What a makeover. I'm impressed! I like that she has a mischievous look about her, lol. Dress goes perfect with her.

Do you use a wig or root the hair yourself?

She was sold as a mischievous lil madam! That's very perceptive xx

I root the hair myself xx

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Such a thread was long overdue here. Thanks for starting one! I own very few dolls but am interested in them. So I'll mostly be looking.

I'm not a doll collector but even I knew to pick this up from the thrift store for a song. One day I'll get it listed for sale. (I showed it off in the Finds Thread some time ago.)
Growing up, Sunday mornings at 11:30am there was always an ST movie on the television. My sister and I were addicted. She even dressed up as ST for Halloween the year she was ten and I was six. I still remember my mother's struggles with getting my sister's hair to hold all those ringlets!

I love this thread! I love my vintage dolls, but vintage Barbies are my favorite. My #3 I found for $3. She needs tlc, but is still beautiful.

    Oh my!!!!

NOW I AM JELLY!!!! Gorgeous, gorgeous.
VERY seldom see Barbie's of this vintage here.
The oldest Barb I've found was a '66 American Girl which was very early in my collecting days and I didn't even know who she was, just knew she wasn't*new*!!

LOVED to see all these dollies, what a great idea this was xxx
I miss Christmas Joy though, hope she's Ok and wish she was here. Haven't seen her since Feb xxxx

Here is the first Barbie I ever found, she was 50p. Can't really see but she has a really lovely & unusual hair colour, think it's called something like ash brown. I consider Guinevere *my* name as well, as it's where my proper name comes from so I bought her Guinevere to wear. Not easy to get from England especially if one is**mega tight** like I am
