ID dresser age / value

I got these dressers and the mirror that attaches to the back of the long dresser at a garage sale this past weekend. The 40-something year old lady who sold it to me said that it was her grandmother’s dresser. She guessed they were from the 50s or 60s — “true midcentury.” I forgot to take a picture, but I believe they are dovetail drawers. There is some discoloration and damage on the top, as you can see in one of the pictures. The pictures are from the garage sale, as it is stowed away in my garage until we move at the end of the month.

Does anybody know what these would be worth? Can anybody guess on the age/material of the dressers? Would I ruin it if I tried to repair the discoloration on the top? I am new to understanding antiques/vintage, so I could have been totally duped.

 

By the way, I bought this in Oregon, USA. My understanding is that it was purchased in the United States, but I could be wrong on that detail.

When I get home, I will take more pictures of drawers and dovetails and if there are any brand stamps/markings.

 

It is American, MCM, and walnut. Probably by one of the main stream companies as opposed to designer. Look for a maker's name inside a top drawer.
